Message from the President
Greetings to you and yours! The Gerald’s wish you and yours a Merry Christmas and a Happy Holiday Season and the very best for 2007 This is the first newsletter since Katrina so many of us were getting back on the air this year. I hope we all are making progress with our lives, homes and our antennas. As you all know we ARE getting older and many of our Members this year had some health problems. I hope they are getting better and wish that you would add them to your prayers: Some that I am aware of are: W5TUD Paul in K4JRB Dave in K4WLS Larry up in We also have had a couple long time Members who
re-located: K5NY, Stan, who is leaving end of the year for the Since our last Newsletter we are proud to have added the following as new members: K5ACQ N5BLY W5EW K3FM W8FR WS1L W5MPC K5PJM AG5Q K5WK N5CW K5ZK Also (since last Newsletter) would like to welcome back these folks: KA5VFU KB5CSQ K5DL KT5GS K5GY N5TF This year our activities were slow getting started as many of us were still recovering from Katrina. We were able again to do the FD from Maxie Voting Precinct We also had our Spring Picnic in the Wiggins area We had our fall picnic and did multi-op from Ed and
BJ’s great station in We also FINALLY were able to get a place to resume our monthly meetings on the coast after holding many in 2006 in Wiggins. We had a great DX Dinner in December in Wiggins and had 47 in attendance and it was nice to see so many new faces and folks that came from a long way to attend We have some great programs lined up for 2007 and hope to see you at one of our events or at a Hamfest or a breakfast along the way in 2007 -73-
