#1 P5 Martti DID activate this one again and made about 200 Qs... Hope still springs that one day..........before us old farts die!
#2 A5 Jim Smith, VK9NS, did visit and has made some nice inroads here.. Hopefully this one will come on before the sunspots start dropping off.. Zorro, Frank Smith, and some 18 other ops had an operation planned for this .. do not know what happened.. Frank is good friend of MDXA and we will be kept informed.
#3 VU/A Nothing definite on this very rare place!

#7 VP8 (South Sandwich Is.) This might just be the last one of these to come on again.. VERY VERY dangerous hard place to go... You can bet.. Martti will NOT go there again!
#8 BS7 Would think if the Phillippine Army would let the BV types on these "ROCKS" ... there might be another one of these...
#9 YA Political situation is bad there.
#10 VK0/ (Macquarrie Is.) Think only weather station employees get to go there and sometimes there is a ham that goes to work there... Otherwise... would seem most unlikely that a full blown DXpedition could ever go there because of the enviroment. LATE NEWS VK0 is now on with an extended operation. This one should drop from next years list.
#10 (tie) FO0 (Clipperton Is.) THIS ONE COMES on this spring... March 2000... Will be like working Hawaii when it does.. except for a little more demand that KH6!... but should be in EVERONE's log book. In 1978, the first operation since 1954, I was able to work on 5 bands and phone and CW.. with just dipoles on 40 and 80 ... Get READY for this one!
