Vice President
Jerry served as President in 2010 and is our resident tower climber. He's held his ham license for several years and has been a member of MDXA since it's inception.

Bill Breeden, NA5DX |
Treasurer
Bill became a member of MDXA after moving to the area in the fall of 2008. First licensed as a teenager in 1966, he took a 25 year break from ham radio in 1972 and finally returned to the hobby in 1997. His awards include 5 Band DXCC with 30 and 17 meter endorsements, DXCC Challenge, QRP DXCC, WAS from both Nebraska and Mississippi, and WAZ. Bill enjoys CW DXing and mostly casual, but occasionally serious contesting.

Megin Murphy, K5IJ |
Secretary
Megin was first licensed in August 2009 and joined the MDXA shortly thereafter. She currently holds her Extra class license and is the President of the Southern Mississippi YL club (http://www.smylar.org) and member of Young Ladies Relay League (YLRL) (http://www.ylrl.hfradio.net/). Megin enjoys DXing and contesting. She received the DXCC award with 102 confirmed in 2011. |

Board Member At Large
David was introduced to ham radio in the late 60s by his Uncle but didn't get licensed until 2008 as an Extra class. He is a charter member of MDXA which is where he caught the DX bug. David enjoys DXing and working DXpeditions. HIs awards include DXCC 278 confirmed, DXCC on 5 bands, WAZ, WAS and WAC. David enjoys all three modes and have DXCC on phone and CW with 83 confirmed on RTTY. He is getting real close to DXCC Challenge with 965 confirmed. See you in the pileups! |

Training/Testing Coordinator
BJ holds an Extra class license and operates all bands except 160. Her favorite modes are SSB and RTTY. She has been a member of MDXA since its inception and also is currently District 5 chairman for Young Ladies Radio League (YLRL), Treasurer of Southern Mississippi YL'S (SMYL), member of The Great Southern DX Assn (GDX), YL International SSB'ers Inc. (YLISSB), The Royal Order of the Wouff Hong and a member of ARRL. Awards- A1 Operator, 3 band DXCC, WAZ, WAC, and WAS. BJ is also an ARRL WAS card checker.

Vic has been licensed since 1967 and a member of MDXA since its inception. He has 356 countries worked and 356 confirmed. Vic is on the DXCC Honor Roll (Mixed and Phone). Other major awards include the CQ DX Award (Honor Roll), WAS, 5BWAC, WAZ, A1 Operator Club, and the WPX award (750). He is a member of the ARRL, the Magnolia DX Association, The Great Southern DX Association, and the Royal Order of the Wouff Hong. |

George has also been a member of MDXA since its inception and recently was the recipient of our MDXA Member of the Year award. You can find him lending a helping hand at most if not all of the club events. |

Dan Miller, AE5JG |
Picnic Planning Chairman
Dan was licensed in 2007 and became a member of the MDXA in 2008. Besides chairing several committees he has also held the office of Treasurer in the MDXA. He enjoys teaching Amateur Radio classes and assisting new licensees get on the air by helping them set up their stations and get them operating. His awards include WAC, WAS, WAZ and DXCC w/200 endorsement. Other memberships include ARRL, The Jackson County Amateur Radio Association (Treasurer) and the Royal Order of the Wouff Hong.

Picnic Planning Chairwoman
Barb has been a member of the Magnolia DX Association since 2008. She Chaired the "Consitution and ByLaw Committee" in 2010. Has co-chaired the Spring and Fall Picnics previously. In 2010 she received the 'MDXA Member of the Year Award." She is also a member of the Southern Mississippi YL club where she has been an officer and chaired many committees. She has earned her WAC Award and DXCC Award w/150 Endorsement. She enjoys DXing, especially "Hunt and Pounce" as she calls it. She is a member of the ARRL, YLRL, Jackson County Amateur Radio Association and the Royal Order of the Wouff Hong. |
