The MDXA Bulletin
"CQ ... DX ... CQ ... DX ... From K5MDX"

From the President... Welcome to the site. I would like to personally invite each of you to come join us in as many of our activities as you can. Feel free to look around as we hope you will find something of interest. Please telnet to our AR Cluster node, K5MDX and hope to meet you at a meeting, function, or on the air at our club repeater 147.375 + Mhz. THANK YOU & 73!
Floyd, N5FG

Our Monthly Meeting is on the 2nd Saturday of each month at Huckleberry's Restaurant in Wiggins, MS starting at 8:00 O'Clock in the morning. Each month there is a different program presented by a club member or special guest, usually related to DXing. Come join us for good food, fellowship, and maybe even some useful knowledge. May 10th, 2008 is the next meeting and the presentation is by Floyd, N5FG, on Packet Cluster Commands. Randy, W5UE will be discussing FIELD DAY 2008.

Field Day - June 28th & 29th 2008 is fast approaching us, and it's time to start discussing what we're going to be doing for this exciting annual event. Our Field Day Director, Randy, W5UE will be talking to everyone during May's monthly meeting on our plans. We also have a NEW LOCATION for FD. If you plan on participating, please try to attend the meeting so Randy can know what you'll be able to provide. If you can't make the meeting but plan to participate please send him an email. For rules and general FD information please visit ARRL Field Day site

What hath God wrought?

On Friday, May 24th, 1844 Those words - were sent by Samuel F. B. Morse, using his famous device known as the telegraph. The message sent from the US Supreme Court in Washington to his assistant, Alfred Vail, in Baltimore. And the rest is history dit-dah-dit-dah-dit-dah

Message from the Webmaster... As you all can see, we have a new website. Its a little bit different and I hope that everyone can make use of the new layout. The new site went active on May 1st, 2008, and you can expect many more features and additions in the near future. The old site had a lot of links spread out all over the place. I'm trying to work on a way to streamline this so you won't have to look everywhere for them. Until I aggregate those old links into this new website I will provide a link back to the old website by clicking here. If anyone has problems with the new website, or if you have any suggestions please email me. Thanks, Jimmy, KB5FSV

And remember. . DX just isn't everything - DX IS!
