2001 MDXA Dinner Banquet

The 10th annual MDXA DX Dinner was held Saturday, December 1st at the Latimer Community Center. I think this year's dinner was the best we have had. I would like to thank Ernie, W5OXA, and his son-in-law John Snyder N7ZFB, for their help in securing the place, and the caterer and for cleaning up! We had 51 in attendance and all seemed to like the prizes and more important our speaker Wes Lamboley, W3WL. Wes is a truly wonderful speaker and his "shows" always interest the wives in attendance. If YOU won a prize, be sure to send a Thank You note to the donor. This is the first year we have had such nice prizes to offer!

CONGRATS are in order to:
W5FI, Gary, who won the MDXA DXer of the Year (as well as the MDXA BIG WHEEL AWARD, for "Last Standing" in the DXCC Countdown.
N4HPL, Jess, for the Lowell Otto Award for the Sorter of the Year.
W5UE, Randy for MDXA Member of the Year.

The food was excellent, the facility was excellent and the program was sure top notch !
