MDXA Dauphin Island Expedition a Success!!!
Well,
our little expedition is now over. Everyone involved had a great time. We had a few
technical glitches on Friday evening getting us off to a slow start, but, they were
quickly diagnosed and fixed. Deteriorating WX conditions forced us to begin takedown early
Sunday. We ended up with over 1300 QSOs operating CW and SSB on 10-160m. Look for plenty of
photos and online log checking in the coming days. Thanks to all involved in the expedition
and to all who worked us. We are ALREADY talking about returning to the island in July 2000
for the IOTA contest.
