MDXA returns to Dauphin Island!!!

Members of the Magnolia DX Association activated Dauphin Island, AL (NA-213) Feb. 23-26. W4D was QRV around 2230Z on 23 Feb and went QRT around 1200Z on 26 Feb. It was a great trip. Everyone involved had a wonderful time. We ended up with around 4500 QSOs from Friday evening till Monday morning. Good WX except for some thunder-boomers on Sunday afternoon that kept us off the air for a few hours. Thanks to all who worked us, YOU made it fun....

Special thanks to Cliff, N5WI and Bob, AE5RM who fed us the whole weekend. Also thanks to our expedition organizer, Ernie, W5OXA and all of the members who helped setup, operate or just dropped by to say hello.

Update 3/4/02: Bureau cards continue to arrive each month. I have been holding these unitl I have 50 or 60 to print labels and send to the ARRL Outgoing Bureau. Direct requests still dribble in every now and then and those are answered with a few days of arrival.

Update 6/28: QSLs are beginning to be mailed out. I hope to have all the direct, SASE supplied requests out by early next week.

Update 6/21: The W4D QSLs have been received!!!! I will begin answering direct requests with SASE or SAE+IRC/GS next week after Field Day. Bureau cards will be answered via the bureau after all direct requests currently held have been answered. Thanks for your patience.

Update 3/03: By popular request we have decided to make available a certificate for the event in addition to a full-color QSL. Those who have sent an adequate size SASE and requested the certificate will be receiving one along with your QSL. Anyone who has sent the small size envelope and would like to get a certificate, please send another SASE big enough to accomodate the certificate. We will not send certificates in the QSL size envelopes.

QSL Info:

Randy Becnel - W5UE
P.O. Box 170
Kiln, MS 39556-0170
Or via the W5 Bureau - Direct requests with SASE returned direct, others returned via the bureau.
Donations will be used to offset QSL card costs. THANKS!!!
